HUG A WORM LAB

Though disliked and dismissed, the worm plays a central role in the health of the urban environment, converting waste into nutrient-rich soil. By educating young New Yorkers about the worm’s profound environmental contributions, this lab aims to change public perception of this little giant.

Date: Saturday May 7, 11-7 PM with a one-hour “how-to” workshop on home composting by the Lower East Side Ecology Center (exact time TBD)
Location: The New Museum’s Festival of Ideas for the New City, on the Bowery, tent#99
